Four killed in Afghan fighting


SPIN BOLDAK, June 3: Three Afghan soldiers and a civilian interpreter for US forces were killed in a turf battle between rival factions near a southeastern town, police said on Tuesday.

A senior Afghan police officer told Reuters that the clash late on Monday in the Karar Gah area near Spin Boldak lasted several hours and ended only when US troops intervened and arrested several Afghan fighters.—Reuters
