ACU official to train players

LAHORE, June 3: New players in Pakistan’s England-bound one-day squad will be trained by the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit’s representative in the country on how to avoid possible match-fixers.

Youngsters like Bilal Asad, Shabbir Ahmed, Faisal Athar and Yasir Hameed will attend a session to be conducted by Col Nur, ACU’s official for Pakistan and Bangladesh, on Wednesday.

Col Nur will also visit all six regional academies which are in progress at different cities to educate, create  awareness and train young players in this connection.

According to the schedule, he will visit the academies in Rawalpindi on June 5, Peshawar June 6, Karachi June 9, Lahore June 12, Faisalabad June 13 and Multan June 16.
