SADIQABAD, June 3: A local landlord allegedly threw acid on a woman on her refusal to develop illicit relations with him.

Reports reaching here revealed that Muhammad Shafiq tried to develop illicit relations with the woman, but she resisted all his efforts.

On Tuesday, she was washing clothes outside her house when Shafiq came there and threw acid on her. She suffered severe hurts on face and was taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

Police have registered a case against the accused under section 336 PPC.
