MIRPURKHAS, May 31: The residents of Samaro town continued their protest on Friday against the torture of Ashraf Khaskheli in the police custody and the arrest of his brothers.
Dozens of villagers held a protest demonstration at Samaro town, calling upon the provincial police officer, Sindh, to take notice of police atrocities and arrest of Khaskheli’s brothers in false cases.
The protesters told newsmen that Khaskheli should be remanded in judicial custody and his brothers should be released.
POWER THEFT: The executive engineer, Hesco, Mirpurkhas division, took legal action on Friday against the owner of the Ashrafi Sweet Shop and a Hesco lineman, Ayub Ajmeri, after they were found involved in power theft at the shop in Newtown.
The SDO, city sub-division, along with the line superintendent found the shop owner stealing power after tampering with the meters in connivance with the lineman.
