ISLAMABAD, May 30: Pakistan and Afghanistan agreed on Friday to operate six flights a week on reciprocal basis to revive their air link that remained suspended for over a decade.
A senior government official told Dawn that Pakistan had already approved the flight schedule of its national carrier while a notification from Afghan aviation ministry was awaited.
“The flights can start tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Everything is ready,” he said. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) would run three flights a week to and from Kabul to Peshawar and Islamabad. Similarly, Ariana Afghan airline would operate three flights to these destinations on alternate days, he said.
