KARACHI: Two die in accidents

KARACHI, May 30: Two persons died in a traffic accident on Super Highway on Friday morning.

Police said the driver of a truck (LS-7421) parked the vehicle near Khator Mor on Super Highway after its tie-rod broke. In the meantime another truck (PRC-2002) coming from behind rammed into it, killing Anwar Baloch, 30, and Dost Mohammad on the spot. Amrai Shamoo, Harfan Khati and Zahid Husain were injured in the accident.

Both the injured and the dead were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

In another accident an elderly man died in a hit-and-run incident on the main Clifton Road on Friday.

Police said Haji Din Badshah, 70, was crossing the road near Do Talwar round-about when a speedy vehicle knocked him down, killing him on the spot. His body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for postmortem.
