SUKKUR, May 29: A man and three of his sons were killed and two other members of the family were injured on Wednesday night when a group of armed men attacked the Dawood Khan Khoso village, situated on the Sindh-Balochistan border.

At least 30 armed Sasoli Brohi tribesmen attacked the village in the jurisdiction of the Panwhar Sanhri police station in Balochistan and later entered the house of Gul Mohammad Brohi. They also fired rockets.

Gul Mohammad, and his three sons, Shah Baig, 30, Mohammad Nawaz, 16, and a 10-year-old boy whose name could not be ascertained, were killed in the firing. The wife of Gul Mohammad and a teenaged girl were injured.

Tension prevailed in the area after the incident, which the police said was the result of a dispute over Karo-kari.

HOSTAGES RELEASED: Two hostages, Arz Mohammad Khoso and Ghulam Mohammad Khoso, who were kidnapped in the Hafeezullah Laro village on May 16, were recovered by the police from a hideout of bandits on Thursday.
