Cut in uplift schemes withdrawn

PESHAWAR, May 29: The NWFP government has announced to withdraw 10 per cent cut in the ongoing developmental projects of district governments in the province.

The district governments had requested the province for its withdrawal on the pretext that it would affect the pace of work on the schemes under way in districts, a press release said here on Thursday.

The cut was imposed in view of the financial constraints the province is facing.—Bureau
