IJT warns govt

PESHAWAR, May 29: The Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) has warned the government against any compromise on the nuclear programme and issue of Kashmir, says a press release issued here on Thursday.

Peshawar University IJT chief Abidur Rehman said Pakistan was the only Muslim state with nuclear capability, but it was yet to assert itself as a power.

He said that a compromise on the Kashmir issue and nuclear plan would amount to treason with the 70,000 freedom fighters who had laid their lives for the liberation of Kashmir from the Indian occupational forces. — Correspondent
