KARACHI, May 29: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement criticizing the closure of Kotri down-stream canal said that it would ruin the agriculture sector of the province.

A press statement, released on Thursday, said that a meeting of the MQM coordination committee has urged President Gen Pervez Musharraf to take serious notice of the matter which had affected Thatta and Kotri districts.

It maintained that the unjust water distribution to Sindh was adversely affecting the agriculture sector.
