KARACHI, May 27: The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi has announced to a new date for submission of forms pertaining to HSC annual Humanities (regular and private) and commerce (private) examinations-2003 for one day only.

A BIE official said that in view of the demand of the private candidates and some others, the authorities at the board on Tuesday decided that forms from leftover candidates would be accepted on May 28 as a special case with a late fee of Rs1000.

Earlier the board had set up May 24 as the last date for acceptance of forms from leftover candidates. The examinations of Humanities and Commerce (private), Diploma in Physical Education and HSC Special Education are scheduled to commence on May 30.

About 63500 candidates are expected to take the examinations to be held in two shifts at 97 centres. The Humanities (regular), DPE and Special Education examinations would be held in the morning shift, while the Humanities (private) Commerce (private) examinations would be held in the afternoon shift.

In the meantime, the board has dispatched admit cards and date sheets to colleges in the case of regular students, while the cards and sheets of private candidates for the Humanities and Commerce examinations have been sent to their residential addresses.

Private candidates who do not receive their examination documents till May 28 should report to the board office on May 29 during office hours for duplicate admit cards with registration cards and receipts for depositing examination forms and fees, says a BIE notification. According to the notification, no withheld or duplicate admit cards shall, however, be issued from the board to regular or ex-students until the application is duly forwarded by the principal concerned along with two attested passport size photographs.

PRACTICAL: The practical examination of HSC parts I and II annual 2003 for the Science (pre-medical, pre-engineering and science general) group would start from June 7 at the candidates own institution. In the meantime, the board has asked all the principals to send their representatives for collection of the centre material from the examination store of the board immediately.
