BAHAWALPUR, May 26: Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal leader Maulana Fazlur Rahman said on Monday the alliance did not want to bring people on roads to protest against any issue.
Speaking at a gathering at a local seminary, he alleged that the government had made the LFO controversial. “The country’s constitution has once again been made a bone of contention between the government and the opposition,” he said. The MMA wanted to resolve the issue amicably, he added.
However, he warned that the country would land in jeopardy, if the constitution was amended. He reaffirmed that the religious parties’ alliance would not compromise on the LFO.
The Maulana demanded the government that it should control the prices of commodities of daily use for the common man’s benefit.
POLICEMEN SET FREE: Three police officials, including the Samasatta police station SHO, were set free by the alleged kidnappers on Sunday.
Confirming their release on Monday, the Samasatta police station officials said none of the accused had been arrested so far. However, a case had been registered under sections 186, 357, 365 and 395 PPC against the accused nominated in an FIR.

According to a notifications, at least 90, out of the 186 candidates for Islamic Studies, have been declared successful at a percentage of 48.
In political science, around 49 candidates, out of the 109, have been declared successful.
