Residents without water attack office

SWABI, May 26: The residents of Gadoon belt attacked the office of the public health engineer and the SDO after remaining without water for the past 20 days.

The protesters, led by the district president of Shabab-i-Milli, Umer Gul, reached the office of the public health engineer.

They attacked the public offices and wanted to make the official hostage but the police controlled the situation.

Umer Gul alleged that the officials concerned had installed an out-dated tubewell, which frequently went out of order, and the people faced difficulties due to non-availability of water.

They also blocked the Swabi-Topi road for traffic.—Correspondent
