KARACHI: JPMC strike remains peaceful

KARACHI, May 26: Despite a two-day strike by 264 postgraduate students of Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre no untoward incident is reported from the centre.

According to spokesmen of JMPC, emergency, OPD and all other departments worked normally and smoothly here today as all RMOs and trainee RMOs performed their duties under the supervision of senior consultants.

All patients who approached outdoor and indoor services were provided satisfactory services. The administration of JPMC is continuously maintaining liaison with the federal health ministry and the ministry of finance for the approval of sanctioned stipend money for 264 PGs of JPMC.

“Whenever the funds are sanctioned and released by ministry of finance, they would be disbursed among 264 PGs,” they said.—PPI
