KARACHI: Gulshan residents complain of low voltage

KARACHI, May 26: Residents of Waseem Bagh in Block 13D/2 have complained that they are supplied electricity up to 150W from only one phase which further lowers down to 50W after 8pm daily resulting in faults in electrical appliances due to low voltage.

The residents said that they are fed up ringing to KESC complaints centre but nobody listens to complaints as telephone numbers remain engaged. They lamented that street lighting system has become useless due to low voltage, darkness prevails everywhere at night which encourages thefts and other anti-social activities. Besides, they cannot run motors for pumping water to overhead tanks.

They contended that Waseem Bagh was being supplied power from the PMTs of 13/D2 and Shaheen School in the past, now it is supplied from Hina Terrace PMT which also feeds a large area.—PPI
