Wrestler dies


MULTAN, May 25: Renowned wrestler, Malik Ahmed Bakhsh, the eldest son of Rustam-i-Hind, Late Malik Hassan Bakhsh Pehelwan Bajjay Wala, died here on Sunday. He was 95.

He was a noted wrestler from Bajja wrestling family after his father.

Malik Ahmed Bakhsh commonly known as Malik Bakhshinda Pehelwan within the wrestling circles was titled as Sitara-i-Hind before partition in 1939.

He became the only wrestler to secure a drawn result in a contest at Lahore against Rustam- i-Zaman, the great Bholo Pehelwan, said local wrestlers after attending his Nimaz-i-Jinaza at Ameerabad park here.—APP
