KARACHI: 101 vehicles taken away in a week

KARACHI, May 25: Bandits either hijacked or stole 101 vehicles — 35 cars and 66 motorcycles — during the past one week at different localities in the city.

According to police statistics, 18 cars were hijacked and 17 others stolen in Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gulistan-i-Johar, Clifton, Saddar, North Nazimabad, Gulberg and other areas.

Thirty motorcycles were hijacked and 36 others stolen in various areas, including North Karachi, Korangi, Orangi Town, Saddar, SITE, Gulshan-i-Iqbal and Liaquatabad.

Police also claimed to have recovered 25 stolen cars and 37 motorcycles in many areas.
