KARACHI: Teenager dies in accident

KARACHI, May 25: An eight-year-old boy, Waheed, died after being hit by a speeding car (AEE-707) while he was crossing Shaheed-i-Millat Expressway in Korangi Industrial Area on Sunday.

His body was shifted to the JPMC for postmortem examination.

The driver has been arrested and his car impounded, police said.

KILLED: A man in his early 30s was found dead near Chawla Centre, Jahangir Road No 2, with stabbed wounds on his body on Sunday. A vegetable cart was also found near the body suggesting that the man, who could not be identified immediately, might be a vendor, police said. The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital.

DIES: A young boy died when a pistol he was plying with went off accidentally in the limits of Napier police on Sunday.

Sarfaraz, 11, had reportedly gone to his father’s milk shop in KMC Market where he found his cousin’s licensed pistol and started playing with it, police said adding that the pistol went off and the bullet pierced through his head killing him on the spot.
