MIRPURKHAS, May 25: Sewerage system of the city has collapsed as power supply to sewerage pumping station has been suspended due to busting of electricity transformer of sewerage disposal system.
Gutters are overflowing and drain water is gushing on main roads and streets of the city.
Residents of the city have demanded of Hesco to immediately replace the damaged power transformer.
ACCUSED: A murder accused, Ashraf Khaskheli, was booked for trying to commit suicide here on Saturday night.
Khaskheli was in the custody of the Satellite Town police and was being interrogated in the murder case of a police constable.
He was brought to the Civil Hospital for treatment.
The police claimed that he had tried to commit suicide. However, there were reports that he was tortured by the police during the interrogation.
