Lack of pitches main problem

Published May 24, 2003

HYDERABAD, May 23: Lack of pitches at the PCB Regional Academy Ground, Rani Bagh, remained the main problem for the two coaches who were imparting training to U-19 boys at the academy which began functioning from May 21.

Following the exclusion of overage boys a total number of 23 boys were getting training from coaches Azeem Hafeez and Hafeezur Rehman.

Twenty four boys are to be given training at the Academy whereas four are in reserves.

Initially three wickets were laid but the nets were going on only the main strip. Besides the run-up area of side pitches were uneven that’s why they could not be used.
