Pakistan, US hold security talks


RAWALPINDI, May 23: Assistant Secretary of State for US Political and Military Affairs Bureau Lincoln. P. Bloomfield, along with his entourage, currently on a four-day visit to Pakistan, spent here a busy day and visited Services Headquarters.

Mr Bloomfield on Friday visited Ministry of Defence and called on Secretary Defence Lieutenant General (R) Hamid Nawaz Khan and discussed with him the matters of mutual interest.

Later, the US dignitaries visited the Joint Staff Headquarters and General Headquarters and called on Gen Mohammad Aziz Khan, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Gen Mohammad Yusaf Khan, Vice Chief of Army Staff in their respective Headquarters.

During these meetings the professional matters were discussed.

Earlier, Mr Bloomfield visi-ted Air Headquarters and met the Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshall Kaleem Saadat.—APP
