ISLAMABAD, May 23: The secretary for the ministry of religious affairs, zakat and ushr, Rashid Mahmud Ansari, has said a pilgrim friendly policy would be evolved for Haj 2004 to ensure that no complaint would come up during the entire Haj operation.

The secretary warned that negligence and wrong doings on the part of officers and staff of the ministry would not be tolerated.

He said this during a briefing on the functioning and working of Haj Wing Islamabad which was conducted by the joint secretary (Haj), Riaz Ahmed Bhatti, here on Friday.

The secretary was apprised about the difficulties faced by the pilgrims 2003 and assured him that their grievances would be addressed in the new Haj policy.

He was also informed about the future strategy and plan of action of the Wing for Haj 2004 and said a draft of the new Haj policy would be finalized in the light of recommendations and suggestions received from all concerned.
