ISLAMABAD, May 22: The government is reluctant to say as to how it will respond in case Pakistan Muslim League (N) president Shahbaz Sharif returns to the country while the latter again said on Thursday that nobody could stop him from coming home.

Former Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif had, in a recent interview with Dawn, disclosed that he was planning to visit Pakistan in July. He reiterated his resolve while speaking at a seminar in New York, “to be among the masses soon,” according to a press release issued by the International Human Rights Observers.

Mr Sharif said he would come home as he loved his people and the country. He said Pakistan was his destiny and he had great confidence in his countrymen.

He termed the deadlock between the government and the opposition on the LFO a serious threat to democracy.

Shahbaz Sharif’s statements about his plan to return home are being taken very seriously in the government and political circles.
