KARACHI, May 22: Election for a new chairman and vice chairman of Fishermen Cooperative Society (FCS) will be held on Saturday.
The office of the FCS chairman has fallen vacant due to the resignation of Commodore Syed Tayyab Naqvi last month. He was holding the dual charge of the chairman FCS and chairman of the KFHA (Karachi Fisheries Harbour Authority) before relinquishing the office of the FCS chairman, which was taken over by the minister for livestock and fisheries later.
Minister for Livestock and Fisheries, Sardar Manzoor Ali Khan, is expected to head the FCS.
