Quake hits Algeria
ALGIERS, May 21: A powerful earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale hit the Algerian capital on Wednesday night, but there was no immediate word on damage or casualties. “Families ran out in panic into the streets but we couldn’t see any damage,” Reuters correspondent Paul de Bendern said from the city.—Reuters
