LARKANA, May 21: Three police constables of the Shahdadkot police station — Gada Hussain Bhatti, Nazeer Hussain Lashari and Abdul Sattar Chandio — were arrested on Wednesday for killing a peasant, Mohammed Ibrahim Magsi.

The DPO, Larkana, Sultan Ahmed Khwaja, said that they had also been suspended.

The three constables, who were the guards of the Taluka police officer, Shahdadkot, on Tuesday chased a motorcyclist, who had no number plate on his motorcycle. Near Bita Wah, they fired warning shots to stop him but unfortunately one of the bullets hit him. He was taken to the Taluka hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.—BoC
