Pakistani to script Taj Mahal film

NEW DELHI, May 21: Top Hollywood studio Warner Brothers plans to make a movie on the fabled Taj Mahal and the legendary love story of Emperor Shahjahan and Queen Mumtaz Mahal, to be scripted by a Pakistani-American writer, Indian news reports said on Wednesday.

The film would be based on a screenplay written by screenwriter Kamran Pasha.

The English language epic movie is being pitched as “Gladiator meets the last emperor”, Warner Brothers was quoted by PTI as saying. It said Aditya Sood is the executive in charge of the project.—Correspondent
