BAHAWALPUR, May 19: Dacoits took away over Rs500,000 from the cashier of a filling station after injuring him in grain market on Monday.

According to details, cashier Khwaja Rafiq of a filling station near Seraiki Chowk had come to deposit over Rs500,000 with the HBL’s grain market branch.

Two masked men shot and injured Rafiq outside the bank, snatched cash from him and escaped. The condition of Rafiq was stated to be serious at the BVH Hospital.

Civil Lines police had yet to register the case.
