KASUR, May 19: At least 10 robbers clad in police uniform on Monday drove away with five trucks laden with rice worth Rs1.6 million from Safa rice mills, Illahabad.

Police said the robbers entered the mills on the Chunian Road by a Pajero early in the morning, beat security guard Nazir Ahmad and took away five trucks loaded with rice.

The police have registered a case.

ORDER: District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Ahsan Ahmad on Monday directed the DPO to take action against two Mustafaabad police sub-inspectors who allegedly favoured an accused.

The sessions judge also sent a prosecution against accused Muhammad Shaban and Saadullah Khan to the relevant magistrate.

RAPED: A girl was raped while another abducted in different incidents here on Monday.

Police said Muhammad Aslam burst into a house and raped a girl at gunpoint.

At Katlohi Khurd village, Sadiq and his three accomplices entered Yar Masih’s house and took away her daughter at gunpoint.

Police have registered cases against the accused.
