PM orders audit of funds given to local govts
ISLAMABAD, May 19: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has ordered an audit of all the funds given to local governments by the federal government in the last two years.
An official source told Dawn that audit teams would visit all districts in the country to carry out the task. The local governments, prior to and after the restoration of democracy, were given funds by the federal and provincial governments, respectively.
