LANDIKOTAL: Man kills son

Published May 18, 2003

LANDI KOTAL, May 17: A man killed his son on Saturday in Kum Shalman area of Landi Kotal, a sub-tehsil of Khyber Agency.

Pathan Khan, a resident of Kum Shalman, 25km of Landi Kotal, received many complaints about the behaviour of his son, Mukarram Shah.

On Saturday morning, Mukarram Shah contaminated water of his village well by throwing garbage into it. This enraged the area women, who fetch from the same well, and they reported the matter to village elders.

Pathan Khan grabbed his son and shot him in the chest, injuring him seriously. Then he locked him in a room and refused to allow any body to save his life. Mukarram Khan breathed his last in captivity after three-and-a-half hours.
