KARACHI: Provision of basic amenities lauded


KARACHI, May 17: The Vice-Chancellor, University of Karachi, Dr Zafar Saeed Saify, on Saturday lauded the services of the Alamgir International Trust for promotion of education and health care among the poor segments of society.

Speaking at a ceremony, held for distribution of school books worth Rs3 million, among the poor students, he said teaching was a holy profession, adopted by the prophets.

Dr Saify announced that the KU would impart free education to the position holders of the public schools. DCO, Mir Hussain Ali, appreciating the efforts of the Trust.—PPI
