CDA record six-wicket victory

By Our Sports Reporter

ISLAMABAD, May 16: CDA romped to a six-wicket victory over Asif Memorial in the ICA-PTV Cricket League Championship, Muhammad Saeed Khan playing his part to perfection with the ball and Amir Munir shining with the bat.

Saeed, maintaining a fine length, had Asif Memorial on the ropes with a haul of four for 40 as they were sent packing for 192, five overs short of their allotted 50.

Raheel Majeed’s half century was of little help as was a quickfire 39 from Muhammad Shahzad because CDA bowlers kept taking wickets at regular intervals.

When the chase began, Amir propelled CDA with a responsible innings of 72 while his team-mate Muhammad Saeed Khan who scored 44 made what was clearly an easy task, all the more easier. Only four wickets fell on way to what was a well-deserved victory.
