KARACHI, May 14: Scores of truck drivers blocked the National Highway for about three hours on Tuesday.
The truckers had blocked the highway against checking of vehicles by the vehicle inspectors. Later, the police reached the spot and dispersed the protesters.
The NHA officials claimed that they had been checking load-capacity because of violations by truckers who instead of 30 tonnes had been carrying 50 tonnes of load.—PPI
