Energy board set up

ISLAMABAD, May 14: The government has established an Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) for development of policies relating to alternative, renewable energy technologies in the country.

The terms of reference of the AEDB would be to develop appropriate medium and long-term national plans and policies for alternative, renewable energy in Pakistan and overseas and their implementation so as to achieve 10 per cent share of renewable energy by the year 2015, said a cabinet notification issued here on Wednesday night.
