Seven hurt in accident


MIRPURKHAS, May 13: Seven people, including two women, were injured when a jeep collided head-on with a rickshaw at Mirwah road near Chandni Chowk here on Monday.

The jeep belonged to the former DCO Tharparkar Pir Abdul Haq Jan Sarhandi.

Those injured were identified as Siraj Arain, Rano, Abdul Rasheed, Javed Abdul Raza, Ms Bushra and Ms Khursheed Begum. The injured were rushed to the civil hospital, Mirpurkhas.

REFERENDUM: A meeting of the Wapda Paigham Union, Mirpurkhas division, held here on Tuesday, discussed preparations being made for referendum.

The chairman of the union’s Sindh chapter, Nawaz Ali Jakhrani, presided over the meeting.—Correspondent
