Dera TMA fails to complete schemes

By Our Correspondent

DERA GHAZI KHAN, May 13: The Dera tehsil administration has failed to complete various schemes despite the release of funds by the district government.

According to details, Rs30 million were given to the Dera tehsil for the completion of some 106 water supply schemes and establishment of three water filtration plants in the city. But the TMA has so far completed only 18 schemes.

Despite an approval by the district council and the district development committee, three proposed water filtration plants could not be established in the limits of the city.

Sources said the tehsil municipal administration had no record regarding utilization of the Rs30 million funds.

When contacted, tehsil Nazim Aasim Zubair Khosa avoided to comment on the prevailing situation.
