HYDERABAD, May 13: The All Pakistan Clerks Association, Hyderabad chapter, staged a rally outside the press club here on Tuesday, pressing for acceptance of their demands.

The office-bearers and workers of various Apca units gathered in Barrage Colony and took out a procession that terminated at the press club. A large number of workers had also come from the interior of Sindh to attend the rally.

The workers carried banners and raised slogans for their demands.

Speaking at the rally, Apca president Fazal Maabood threatened with launching a protest movement throughout the country on May 21 if the federal government did not held a dialogue with the central leadership of the association on their charter of demands by May 20.

He said the workers would also stage a long march up to Islamabad if they were not provided with basic necessities.

He said both the government and the opposition were working for their own interests and they were least concerned with problems of employees.
