KARACHI: LRBT eye clinic for SHC staff

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, May 12: A free eye clinic begun treating patients at the Sindh High Court dispensary on Monday.

The clinic, set up by the Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Fund Trust, was inaugurated by SHC Chief Justice Saiyed Saeed Ashhad. It will function for 20 days and is meant exclusively for SHC employees.

LRBT Chairman Khwaja Zafar Hasan and managing trustee Zain Alavi were also present at the inauguration.

The facility will serve as a filter clinic, and the surgeon supervising it said over 70 per cent of the patients would be discharged after primary treatment.

From 20 to 30 per cent of them, who might require advanced treatment, would be referred to the LRBT base hospital at Korangi.
