QUETTA, May 10: A special court judge for suppression of terrorism, Khuzdar Muhammad Yousuf Khoso, on Saturday awarded four persons life term in a murder case and acquitted six others owing to lack of evidence against them.

The anti-terorrism court announced its judgement after the completion of arguments by both sides.

The four— Maula Sahibdad, Soba Khan, Qadir Bakhsh and Aziz Muhammad— were sentenced for life imprisonment when the prosecution proved that they had murdered Abdul Khaliq.

BAIL GRANTED: Meanwhile, I. Shaukat Rakshani, special court judge for anti-terrorism Quetta, has granted interim bail to an ex-minister and two others in the Chamalang mine blast case.

The court granted the bail to former minister Mir Mohbat Khan Marri, Mir Liaquat Marri and Pir Bakhsh Marri on producing a surety bond of Rs100,000 each.

The anti-terrorism court judge adjourned the hearing in the case till May 17.
