By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, May 10: Police registered a case against the president of Karachi Electronics Dealers Association and other office-bearers for arson, breach of peace and blocking vehicular traffic.

The case was registered late Friday night in Preedy police station. Police claimed that the president and office-bearers of KEDA provoked the shopkeepers in the electronic market to set old tyres and wooden boxes on fire on the main Abdullah Haroon Road, blocking the vehicular movement.

Police registered the FIR (No.66/03 under section 143/147/151/283/293/427/435/504 of the PPC) against KEDA president Mohammad Irfan, Saeed Qureshi, Mohammad Tariq, Nawabuddin and others.

The trouble began when the officials of police investigation wing from Gulshan-i-Iqbal, arrived at the electronic market in Saddar around 11:30am, and picked up some shopkeepers.
