Peace moves welcomed

By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, May 9: The Pakistan-India Peoples’ Forum for Peace and Democracy, capital chapter, has welcomed the recent peace moves initiated by the leaders of India and Pakistan to resume talks.

Resumption of relations between the two countries will hopefully be a harbinger of peace in the South Asian subcontinent, a statement issued by the Forum here on Friday said.

“Peace is essential for security and stability of the two countries and prosperity of their peoples”, it said, continuing that “no socio-economic progress or human resource development is possible without peace.”
