HYDERABAD: Water rotation schedule

HYDERABAD, May 7: The executive engineer, Nasir irrigation division, Hyderabad, has announced a water rotation programme in various distributaries due to the shortage of water in the Rohri Canal.

In the Nasir Branch, Tando Allahyar-II and Bulghai distributaries will remain open from May 8 to 16, the Gharib Distributary will remain open from May 6 to 14, Chuch, Gharo, Basran-II, Kamaro and Chango minors will remain open from May 8 to May 16, the Khoski Distributary will remain open from May 10 to 18, the Tando Ghulam Ali Distributary will remain open from May 3 to 11 and the Landhi-II Minor will remain open from May 11 to May 19.

In the main Rohri Canal, Tajpur and Shah Latif minors would remain open from May 5 to May 17, Kunar-I, Ghotano-II, Seri and Soomarki distributaries and the DO Sarfaraz Branch would remain open from May 8 to May 16, the Mirankhori Chakar Distributary would remain open from May 7 to May 15 and the Shaikh Bhirkio Distributary would remain open from May 1 to May 9.

RESULTS: The controller of examinations, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, on Wednesday announced the results of first professional BDS examinations.

Talha Bin Aslam, son of Mohammad Aslam Fayazi, secured the first position, Uzair Luqman, son of Mohammad Luqman, secured the second and Poonam Rani, daughter of Chetandas Bhojwani, secured the third position.
