Nasir, Amir hit centuries

KARACHI, May 6: Two splendid centuries by Nasir (115) and Amir (111), enabled Malir Companion register a comfortable 160-run victory over Young Fighter in the Javed Miandad Inter Club League cricket tournament played at the Airport Stadium.

These two put on 227 runs for the opening wicket before Amir parted company.

In another match played at the PIA Township ground, Orient Stars beat Union Sports by 35 runs, with Adnan Khan stealing the limelight with a hard hitting knock of 84 runs.

Malir Companion 296 for three in 30 overs. Nasir Aziz (115), Amir Kaleem (111). Saifullah three for 55 runs.

Young Fighter 136 all out in 29.3 overs. Sohail (54), Abdul Rehman (34). Kashan Raheel bagged five wickets for 26 runs.

Orient Stars beat Union Sports by 35 runs.

Orient Stars 182 all out in 27.1 overs. Adnan Khan 84, Fazal-e-Azeem 38, M. Siddiqui 24. Tajammul Hussain two for 26, A. Nadeem two for 30 and Iftikhar Alam two for 38.

Union Sports 147 all out in 27 overs. Sajid Masoor (37), Iftikhar Alam (36), Tajammul Hussain (20), Faisal Iqbal two for 17.
