Nazim for provision of health cover to people
RAWALPINDI, May 5: The district Nazim, Raja Tariq Kiani, has said it falls within the responsibility of the district government to provide health facilities to people in every nook and corner of the district.
He made this observation while inaugurating the mobile dispensary of Executive District Officer (Health) office and speaking to the In-charge medical officers from all over the district on Monday.
Mr Kiani called upon the medical officers of Basic Health Units (BHUs) to launch a campaign against the quacks and make the masses aware of the steps against the spread of diseases.
He further said at the level of BHUs, the society for welfare of patients should be made more active to fight against quackery.
He suggested that the local well-to-do people and philanthropists as well as the community must be associated with the public sector to provide improved health facilities to the community.
