QUETTA, May 4: A representative of the Balochistan National Movement on Sunday expressed the party’s willingness to participate in the meeting on the Kashmir issue while representatives of the Jamhoori Watan Party, Pakthunkwa Milli Awami Party and the Balochistan National Party (Mengal) said that they had not yet received invitation.

The meeting would be held on Monday and had been convened by Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali.

While talking to this correspondent, the information secretary of the BNM, Dr Ishaq Baloch, said that the party had received a formal invitation in this regard and Senator Mir Aslam Buledi and he himself would represent the party in the meeting.

Previously, the prime minister had invited leaders of the opposition parties to brief them on the latest developments regarding the Kashmir issue in view of the contact with the Indian prime minister.

Sardar Akhtar Mengal, chief of the BNP-Mengal, while talking to this correspondent, said that as of Sunday night, he had not been contacted in this regard.

Similarly, sources in the PMAP told this correspondent that the party’s leader, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, had not yet received the invitation.

Sources in the JWP said that Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, chief of the party, had not yet received invitation.
