KARACHI: 86 vehicles taken away in seven days

KARACHI, May 4: Eighty-six vehicles — 42 cars and 44 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city in the past one week, the police said.

Twenty-five cars were hijacked. Seventeen others were stolen.

Seventeen motorcycles were hijacked. Twenty-seven others were stolen. The motorcycles were hijacked/stolen in New Karachi, Gulberg, North Nazimabad, Saddar and Gulshan towns.

The police also claimed to have recovered 39 stolen cars and 22 motorcycles in the week, April 27-May 4.
