KARACHI, May 3: Dr Irfan Gul Magsi and Nadir Akmal Laghari took oath as provincial ministers on Saturday evening here at the Governor House.
Governor Sindh, Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan, administered the oath.
Sindh chief minister, Sardar Ali Muhammad Mahar, was also present on the occasion.
The ceremony was attended among others by the provincial ministers, advisers to chief minister and high government officials.
Later, Mr Mahar told reporters that Salahuddin Haider, Nauman Saigal and Faisal Malik have been appointed as advisers to the chief minister with the status of provincial ministers.
Those appointed as advisers are: Ghulam Rasool Unar, Abdul Majeed Jamali, Jadam Mangrio, Mir Naseer Khan Khoso, Syed Manzoor Hussain Shah, Ali Nawaz Talpur, Mumtaz Anwar, Syed Manzoor Hussain.
The following have been appointed as special assistant to the chief minister: Sultan Ahmed Khahawar, Sultana Ibrahim, Ghulam Haider Rahoo, Dr Mohammad Ali Brohi, Azhar Iqbal.
Mr Mahar said that with the induction of two new ministers the third and the final phase of expansion of the provincial cabinet has been completed.
He pointed out that the three ministers who were without portfolios have been given departments.
He stated that Jadam Mangrio, already appointed adviser, has also been given the status of provincial minister.
Mr Mahar said that one adviser and one special assistant will also be taken from PML (Functional).
He said that the financial condition of the province is much better now.
Mr Mahar declared in categoric terms that there were no differences among the allies in the provincial government.
" There were no differences nor there will be any", he pointed out while replying to a question.-—APP
