Match-winning knock by Aamir for CDA

ISLAMABAD, May 1: Aamir Munir struck an unbeaten 80 on Thursday in CDA’s crushing nine-wicket victory over Muslim Club in the ICA-PTV Cricket League Championship at the CRA Ground.

Muslim Club were restricted to 111 in 34.5 overs, with Matloob picking up three wickets for 17 runs and Asif Iqbal taking two for eight. Shaukat was the chief scorer with 30 runs.

CDA, in reply encountered no difficulties, thanks to Aamir’s fine knock they were home in 19.3 overs for the loss of just one wicket.

CDA bt Muslim by nine wickets. Muslim 111 in 34.5 overs (Shoukat 30, Karim Dad 27; Matloob 3-17, Asif Iqbal 2-8); CDA 113-1 in 19.3 overs (Aamir Munir 80 not out, Naveed Ahmed 17 not out).

PTV bt Al-Fateh by five wickets. Al-Fateh 126 in 37.4 overs (Muhammad Ihsan 35, Shafique Ahmed 20 not out; Rizwan Khan 4-29, Adil Shaheen 3-40, Suleman Khan 2-20); PTV 127- 5 in 17.5 overs (Adil Shaheen 54, Ziaul Haq 42).

PBC bt ITR by 11 runs. PBC 266 in 46.1 overs (Wasim Ahmed 67, Sajjad Masih 51, Amjed 44; Sheraz Ahmed 3- 44, Altaf Hussain 2-32, Shoaib Niaz 2-41); ITR 255 in 48.4 overs (Hammad Hasan 60, Altaf Hussain 50, Shakeel Ahmed 42; Amjed 3-46, Muhammad Naeem 2-28, Zahid 2-54).
