KARACHI, May 1: Former Pakistan snooker captain Sarwar Siddiqui, cruised into the next round of the Karachi Club One Frame Snooker Tournament, held in memory of Late Younis Amir Baksh, when he brushed past Zubair Razzak 44/18 at the Karachi Club on Thursday.
The bespectacled veteran, displaying glimpses of his glorious past, never gave his opponent a ghost of a chance, potting practically everything in sight.
Joining Sarwar into the next round was young Aneel Bherwani, who had to bring out his best in overcoming former Test cricketer Mohsin Hassan Khan 56/45.
Samad Bawany’s impressive run in this tournament was almost halted by Dr. Amin Delawala, who was a trifle unlucky to make his exit 45/41.

Narish Gangwani then got the better of Mohammad Anis 61/51 in a see-saw tussle, while bearded Abdul Wahid Qadir, who accounted for Mohsin Suleman 58/29 on Wednesday night, progressed further by downing Ajay Bherwani 56/35.
On Wednesday night, Dilip Perwani, younger brother of Pakistan No.4 Naveen, beat Shabbir Daruwala 49/26.
